Inspired by his dog
Famous they/them artiste Sam Smith wore a thing at an awards do last month.
I’m chagrined that I missed it.
Sam Smith’s inflatable latex suit was the talk of the red carpet at this year’s Brit Awards. Its designer is also a latex farmer in India, who reveals it was inspired by his dog.
An inflatable latex suit! Of course it was the talk of the carpet! (Wait what? What is the talk of the carpet? That don’t make no sense.) Plus it was inspired by a dog!
Aesthetically it’s just [chef’s kiss] –
And the back view!
Aerodynamically speaking, I’m thinking the larger inflated volumes should be at the shoulders, the smaller at the legs.
If they could get him into a car, he’d probably be pretty safe, being equipped with his own airbags and all.
My dog was known to make similar masterpieces, but smaller and more organic.
Hahahahahahahahaha that’s actually true – the thing is reminiscent of a generous pile of dogpoop.
He was one of The Greats (literally, he was mostly Great Pyrenees).
Back when Eddie Izzard was funny, many years ago, he nailed it. “Looking like a dickhead”.
Alice in Blunderland.
Twiliter, Great Pyrenees are the best dogs.
They need to put him in the museum that recently lost its “balloon animal” sculpture.
Eava @7 They really are. Very gentle and loving, but they can be formidable guard dogs. This happened near where I live >> https://www.11alive.com/article/life/animals/herd-dog-kills-8-coyotes-to-save-sheep-decatur-neighborhood/85-4197e55d-d611-4047-a6c6-f7cbe34e43d5 And he was only a 20 month old pup!
I must say that outfit is so stupid that I think it actually ends up working. I laughed anyway, which I assume was the goal. I love the serious expression on his face as well.
The alleged “fashions” for these red carpet events are only slightly less ridiculous yet are are generally treated seriously, hence ripe for a send-up.
