You mean I’ve been using batteries all these years not knowing they weren’t for ‘girls’? Oh, dear. And paying more for them just makes sense, since women use so few batteries…they don’t do anything much with electricity because that’s too masculine. Mixers, blenders, and such are plug in; they don’t need batteries.
At one point, the image that came to mind as I read the post was batteries that would be inserted somewhere in the girl so she could keep going…and going…and going…
iknklast, if you’ve always, for your whole life up to now, felt inclined to use a battery of a different gender than your assigned battery at birth, I think you know what that means…
Some years ago I bought a package of pink razors that were identical to the blue ones by the same company; the pink ones were cheaper. Of course these were hand operated razors, not battery powered ones….
I went looking to see if this boys/girls designation was from the manufacturer or the retailer. The Tesla Batteries North America site does not have this designation, but the Europe site does, as do several other region-specific sites. Pick a region other than North America, choose “consumer batteries”, and look for the “Toys+” battery line a short way down the page. (The “Toys+” line isn’t listed on the North America page at all.)

I think the price difference is to discourage transing boys who want the pink batteries.

It took a long, long time, but I am finally onboard with the Self ID movement, it just makes so much sense.
I have told my ICE car it is now an EV so my emissions are zero.
