he [Bryson]
A transgender rapist who raped two women has been jailed for eight years at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Isla Bryson, from Clydebank, was sentenced to eight years in prison with a further three years on licence.
…
The 31-year-old was convicted last month of raping two women: one in Clydebank in 2016; and one in Drumchapel, Glasgow, in 2019; committing the offences while known as Adam Graham.
That is, committing the crimes before changing his male name to a female one.
Bryson met both the victims online, with prosecutors saying Bryson “preyed” on vulnerable women.
The case sparked an uproar after Bryson was initially housed in an all-female prison before being moved to the male estate following the outcry.
Note the frightened avoidance of the pronoun, a part of speech whose purpose is to avoid the clumsy awkwardness of repeating the name over and over.
Then there’s a bit where the reporter actually corrects the victim for saying “he.”
The second victim, who gave evidence via live video-link, told the court Bryson continued to have sex with her after she said stop.
The victim’s police statement said Bryson instead told her to “stay there” because “he [Bryson] wasn’t finished”. The victim told the court: “I said to stop but he [Bryson] just kept on going, and that’s when I just closed my eyes and I am doing what he wanted to do.”
Oh gosh how impolite of her to call the man who raped her “he.”

Some other headlines via Google News:
It’s not hard to tell it’s a man they’re reporting about here, even though they go along with the rapist saying he’s trans. Journalism needs to prioritize the truth as it is, rather than how a lying rapist wants it to be.
Men convicted of serious crimes should be forbidden from changing their names.
Also, men who are most adamant about violating women’s boundaries — such as most transgender identified males — raise one of most serious red-flag “tells” about who is likely dangerous to women.
How would we ever know who the referent was without that help! It’s all so confusing. Can’t the victim see that the defendant is wearing lippy these days??!
Well at least they’re actually not saying “woman.” And they’re not following the “no true trans” line, either. I take both of those as progress, given some of the shitty reperting we’ve seen here that would have simply called this a woman’s crime with little or no qualification. Added bonus: trans activists can’t be at all happy with headlines saying “transgender rapist.” I’m not above a bit of schadenfreude.
“he (Bryson)” should really have been “he (Adam Graham).”
Rapists don’t get to indulge themselves with stealth female names.
With resprect to Bumble, I think he was wrong. The law is IMHO a hybrid, a cross between a galah and a vulture. (The highly intelligent galah is widely regarded as the clown and the fool of the bird world.)
I (Mike) am not quite sure how to respond to this, except that I (Mike) think (thinks) that this defeats the whole purpose of pronouns. I (Mike) also think (thinks) that it also messes with the ability to talk in the third person, which I (Mike) reserve the right to do although I (MIke) never do (does) so.
