“EVERY business owned by Jews”
Erm…sound familiar?
Yes, of course it sounds familiar. It sounds like Hitler.
Also, he doesn’t even mean “Jews,” he means Israel, or to be more precise Netanyahu’s government.
He’s a man who thinks very highly of himself and his virtue.
Rick Wiles: Disciple of Jesus, TruNews host, Final Day author, Baptist elder, Bible teacher, businessman, global Ambassador for Peace. Unable to swallow BS.
Very very very global ambassador for peace.
Javohl! And while we’re at it let’s smash their windows! We can give it a catchy name. Any ideas?

I’m sure he’s as willing to turn the other cheek and accept responsibility and punishment for “Christian” Klan violence, ethnic cleansing in Bosnia, and the Crusades as he is to scapegoat all Jews for every act of the Israeli government.
The last three words are negated by the rest of the bio.
Maybe he can’t swallow BS and that’s why he keeps vomiting it up.
I don’t think he appreciates the difference.
Final Day, huh? The guy’s an end-timer, and those loonies are frothing at the mouth at the moment because they believe that the escalation of war in Israel is a clear sign of the start of the end as prophesied by John in the Book of Revelations. Given that, it’s in his interest as a True Believer to foment hatred against the Jews because their elimination – by death or or conversion to Christianity – is an essential stage in the lead-up to the final battle at Armageddon if the End-timers’ warped fantasy of holding all the positions of power in the freshly cleaned ‘Kingdom of Jesus’ is to come to fruition.
I thought they needed to have “the Jews” build a temple on top of the Muhammedans’ magic rock… Doesn’t that mean supporting them now? Maybe he’s not a premillennialist…
Wholesale antisemitism by members of the Christian far right, how charming. Effing hatemongers.
Acolyte of Sagan @ #6 has it right. This is ‘End Times’ stuff. My parents were fundie Christians; from quite a little kid I was taught an entire scenario, from the Rapture through the Great Tribulation and so on and so forth. It didn’t take; I realised in my early teens that Biblical literalism and related dogmas simply didn’t add up.
To be fair to my parents, they would have been horrified by this Rick Wiles fellow and his call to harass Jewish people. The persecution of the Jews is an element in the End Times fantasies; if I recall correctly, it is principally founded on Matthew chapter 24. But my parents and their friends believed strongly that Christians should treat Jewish people with respect, as ‘God’s chosen people’ (see Deuteronomy chap 7 verse 6).
I can’t count the number of times I have heard people say recently that anti-semitism is a thing of the past. But evidence indicates that this is perhaps not the case. The “progressive left” (for lack of a better term) has historically included many Jewish voices, but Jews have now somehow become part of the excoriated “white elite”. And on the other side, theocons have always considered themselves apart from the elite, since they are after all devoted followers of the humble Jesus, so they get to dump on the Jews too. (As said by the inimitable Tom Lehrer, “and everybody hates the Jews”.)

Seanna, been quoting that line a lot lately. Probably every time I read the news or any of my magazines.
