Bitches n blokes
Hahahaha I for one, unlike SOME people, never wear either baseball caps or shades. I’ll cop to being “bitchy” though – but not in the way Mr Willoughby means it.
(It’s very telling though. Men wear shades and caps; women are bitchy. Clearly there’s not a misogynist bone in Will’s body. Clearly.)
Hm, I don’t wear baseball caps or sunnies ever. Am I intersexed??
Is the implication “if bloke, then cap and shades” or “if cap and shades, then bloke”? The direction matters. Going by the typical Genderist view of things where superficial accidentals determine “gender” suggests that it’s the latter, but then they also insist that gender is some internal thing, so it could be the former.
I used to wear sunglasses and hats shaped like baseball caps when I lived in Australia. These days, owing to the eye pain I developed quite suddenly almost two years ago, I wear a hat with a broad brim and three layers of cloth as veils, and tinted lenses*, whenever I’m outside in daylight or in a well-lit room. (My own room is kept at a very low light level, and my screens are at minimum brightness, with an orange tint).
Since the hat and the veils are black, decorated with silver skulls-and-crossbones motifs, I must be aaaargh-gender.

*I’m excitedly awaiting delivery of some special filters to wear over my glasses, created for me by the National Council for the Blind of Ireland. Should be better than wearing ski goggles everywhere.
