Always worse than we imagined
Good god. What’s coming out is…I’ve run out of words for it.
Screechy Monkey told us to see Robert Costa’s thread on the subject, so I see it, and holy shit.
This isn’t that loony guy in the park, this is former president.
Why, yes, that is very damning indeed.
How he carefully stored these documents:
That top left one? That’s the ballroom at Mar-a-Lago.
I really did not imagine that they would have him nailed this badly.
The tape recordings really put the nail in any “I mentally declassified those documents” defense.
The lawyers’ notes and testimony, and the videotapes and photos and texts, are pretty damning on the obstruction/false statements/etc. charges.
Even the nature of the classified materials — they are all described as relating to military operations or assessments of other countries’ military capabilities. These aren’t gossipy reports about Macron’s personal life, or ticky-tack “should this really be classified” stuff, at least if the government’s descriptions can be trusted.
Always have to bear in mind that you’re reading one side of the case, and witnesses have to survive cross-examination, etc., but this is much stronger than I thought it would be.
I’m reading the whole thing and just reached item 73, in which the FBI obtained surveillance video of the removal of boxes. They [Trump’s goons] didn’t disable the surveillance camera while they removed the boxes. They removed the boxes ON CAMERA.
I hear Russia is nice this time of year. Or is it North Korea?
Crossfire Hurricane turns out to be the internal code name for the FBI investigation of links between Trump and Russia. So he’s been seething over that for years.
Because he has EVERY RIGHT to have secret corrupt links with Russia. Who wouldn’t be seething?
One of the photographs not included here shows stacks of boxes in a bathroom…under a chandelier.
Isn’t that classic? So so Trump, with his hideous gold living room.
