Should someone tell DeSantis that RFK Jr might not be the best pick to lead the CDC?
Well, the Kennedys were no angels. JFK got the US into the quagtrocity of Vietnam, and now RFK Jr is doing his lamentable best to keep up the family tradition. Though to give JFK his due he was not in the same league as Johnson, Nixon and Kissinger. Khrushchev picked JFK for a weakling, and as a result in 1962 damn near brought on Armageddon.
With vax-autism claim I often wonder what people with autism must think to see parents who would rather take a chance on their children dying than be burdened with an autistic child.
And speculation has turned to certainty among the anti-vaxxers that Bronny James’ heart attack was due to the COVID mRNA vaccine. Of course, they don’t admit that myocarditis is more likely with the actual disease than with the vaccine.

Tigger, when my daughter was 2 she began having partial complex seizures, and we took her to the pediatrics epilepsy wing of our local Childrens’ Hospital. While the specialists were looking for an efffective anti-seizure medication for her a few witches (Gardnerian) on my ex-wife’s bulletin board suggested that the seizures were due to the vaccines she’d had on regular course since she was born and recommended herbal remedies. I just kind of scoffed and laughed. (One of them actually helped us out with a tarot and herb fundraiser to help with the copays, so it’s hard to be too angry.) People are ready to tie any event to some coincidental cause. This was 5 years before Wakefield.
On his website, Andrew Sullivan is still touting RFKJr as the best thing for the Democrats since sliced raw fish (I live in Japan). I do not understand the extraordinary conjunction of moderate intelligence on one side and absolute folly and Catholic rage on the other that seems to constitute Sullivan’s mind. Junior’s role in helping measles to kill 83 Samoan children, as well as his recent lies under oath to the Jim Jordan’s Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, should disqualify him from being put anywhere near any position of power.
