Hey kids, welcome to another episode of Naming by Idiots.
Yass yass yass! “Lesbian” does not at all mean “woman attracted to women”; that is a complete misunderstanding. I don’t know where people come up with these ideas.
Uh oh. Another enthusiast about to get cancelled by the cult.
“Bi people” – meaning bisexual women, of course.
“Trans men” – who are women. Duh. How a woman who thinks she’s a man can ‘identify with femininity’, though, is a mystery. When I thought that I might have a man brain in my woman body, it was because I’ve never ‘identified with femininity’.
Oh Tigger, you’re so wicked, rubbing salt in the wound. Pass the shaker!
(BTW, was it kosher sea salt, or Himalayan pink? Or maybe road salt?)
Anyway, the term “lesbian” has historically meant the same thing as “sapphic.”
“Lesbian” just means “someone who identifies with femininity, who prefers relationships with other people who also identify with femininity.”
Yes, Classical Greece was rife with identity politics, with trans rights being hotly debated in the agora between rounds of the Peleponnesian War. It was complicated. There was a lot of confusion and injustice. In order to join the Spartan army, for example, butch lesbians had only to eschew feminity, declare themselves men, grab binders, go on T, and hey presto, they were welcomed into the phalanx as hoplites. But getting out of military service? Not so easy. The Spartans weren’t fooled by the old head-tilt, kohl, and gold lamé purse routine that many draft-dodging men affected; it was “Here’s your spear, shield, and armour “Loretta.” Get the fuck in line!” It happened all the time, yet all we have are scraps and fragments, along with the occasional, suggestive pictorial sherd (eyeroll).
I know this is supposed to be for gender rather than sex, but transactivism swaps or conflates the two of them when it suits them, so in the spirit of fairness and good clean fun, I’m doing the same.
“Lesbian” just means “someone who identifies with femininity …”
Are you kidding me? Lesbians, almost by definition, do NOT “identify with” “femininity.”. Whatever “identify with” means. Women who accept the ‘feminine” social role would be in the heterosexual majority. No self-respecting lesbian that I know accepts the social characteristics of ” femininity” forced on her by society. She wants to break gender stereotypes, not conform to them. Idiot. Self-seving liar, changing concepts long after the fact. Gaslighting liar. Despicable.
So what happens to the butch lesbians with this definition?
This is like a sociological example of the situation in business where the goal is to grow the brand but in doing so they dilute what drew people to the brand in the first place. The brand in this case is Lesbianism, and the owners are now the LGBTQ+ consortium, and they’ve expanded the brand by broadening its meaning to the point where “lesbian with a penis” isn’t the butt of a joke anymore, and this has caused a few problems for the early adopters.
It’s such a deliciously corporate way to operate in the world and yet it’s being promoted by young people who frequently see themselves as anti-capitalists. The whole of Gender Medicine is built on a very capitalist view of how medicine should operate, the customer is always right and the Drs duty is to give the patient what they want, when they want it.

Any/all of the above?
If they’re allowed to redefine words to mean whatever they want them to mean, Humpty Dumpty-style, then I’m allowed to define ‘trans’ to mean ‘fraudulent and/or deluded’.

Yes, and so very corporate in its greed and profit motive. Planned Parenthood, for example, has sold its soul for filthy lucre, latching onto “gender affirming care” as a cash cow. They have abandoned any pretense of morals in favor of “progressive” brownie points. It’s an incidental benefit to them that their T patients will be made into Patients for Life.

Notice who isn’t on the list, though? Tee hee.
This definition would also include men who ‘identify with femininity’ but still consider themselves men.
There’s a reason ‘infinition’ is not a word. If a definition can include everything, you are no longer defining something.

Simon: “There’s a reason ‘infinition’ is not a word.”
Nice!
And even better:
Simon: “If a definition can include everything, you are no longer defining something”
Loops back to those niggly words spectrum and binary. How do you describe a spectrum without defining end points?
Have you forgotten the Barbie GI Joe scale? https://www.butterfliesandwheels.org/2019/the-barbie-gi-joe-scale/

The hue circle is, by definition, a circle and a spectrum. As a circle, it has no end points. Sort of like how Fantasia/Fantastika has no boundaries.
Sounds like this should go along with horseshoe theory.

Someone has to be taking the piss. No one could be this stupid. Not even the flat earthers are this stupid (btw).

For a price, of course.
