Thank me! If I hadn’t voted this morning the majority would be smaller. Not *much* smaller, I must admit, but smaller.
I thought 55/45 was a realistic expectation, and 58/42 is better, so that’s good. I was hoping for 60/40 or better. 80/20 was of course unrealistic, nice though it would have been. Each time they update the numbers it gets a little bit better: now it’s at 58.4/41.6. I hope it continues that way, but often it doesn’t.
This was our first election. Since we got naturalized a few months ago we haven’t got around to applying for identity cards and passports, so we were surprised and pleased to receive voter cards.
