“Trans rights are human rights and women’s rights.”
Backwards. “Human rights” take priority. What are “trans rights”? They are not “women’s rights”. Women have had to fight to become ‘human’. Many examples in “Human” by Amanda Rees and Charlotte Sleight.
But what is “trans”? What is “gender”? What is a “woman”? What is a “man”? What is “female”? What is “male”?
Whoever is in charge of that twitter account needs to define their terms. They have to establish what they’re talking about.
As a man I admit the shameful fact that most violence in this world comes from men. A lot of it is deliberately targeted towards women. (BTW: A “man” is a human who has the equipment to produce small gametes [sperm] and a female is a human who has the equipment to produce large gametes [ova] for the purposes of Sexual Reproduction [which is the root of all of this].
This is what Gender Critical women are concerned about. That “transwomen” are people born with male bodies who think that they’re female but, having been born male, are just as likely to be as violent as any other person born with a male body. The fact that there is plenty of evidence to back-up these concerns about transwomen being at least as violent as a typical man reinforces the convictions of Gender Critical women that they are a threat.
The fact that TRA’s essentially refuse to define their terms and that their arguments range from deranged to dishonest makes this conflict even more frustrating.
“But more importantly, we don’t want our trans siblings to have to see…”
TAs: letting trans people see anything other than coddling is a necessity.
Also TAs: barring males from female toilets due to the fear of Schrodinger’s Rapist is bad because it promotes a victim mentality among women.
TAs: We’re not safe in the men’s room because Schrodinger’s Rapist.
Also TAs: Women have no right to fear Schrodinger’s Rapist because it creates in them an abhorrent “victim mentality.”
