Abortion for *lethal* fetal anomalies is now *illegal* in Ohio
I’m a high-risk obstetrician here. I diagnose birth defects
So some point soon I may look someone in the eyes & say that they, against their will, will carry to term, undergo delivery & then have their child die

Got that? In Ohio it’s now ILLEGAL to end a pregnancy that will produce a baby that can’t survive.
Here is how today’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe impacts Arkansans.
Arkansas’s abortion ban (in effect today) allows no exception for rape. It allows no exception for incest. It allows no exception for a lethal fetal condition.

Women must be made to pay, is that it?
Updating to add:
If a woman finds out at 20 weeks that her baby will die during, or hours after childbirth, she does not have the right to terminate the pregnancy. We have been told the purpose of not including this exception is “to help mother’s grieve.”

I understand that the decision to have an abortion is an incredibly personal one, and one that many women would never, under any circumstance, be able to make. But mothers should be the center of those decisions.

I don’t know about previous elections, but last time over 100,000,000 Americans couldn’t be bothered to cast a vote. I think it is safe to assume that this follows a pattern in prior elections, particularly since there was such a high vote for president.
If you don’t vote, then you’re saying you either don’t care, or you’re happy with the status quo. You’re happy with the pussy grabber stacking SCOTUS, you’re happy with the gerrymandering of your state, and you’re happy to let your neighbours bear the burden of citizenship.
Now, I am going to assume that those who post here, and even those who read and don’t post, are engaged voters, but unless you have a magic wand to overcome apathy, you are doomed to become a failed state, a theocracy like Saudi Arabia or other “shithole countries”.
You thought you had won the Cold War, but the Bear was simply sleeping off his wounds. He bided his time, licked his wounds, and developed new ways to wage war on you. And you sleep walked right into the Bear Trap.
America is no longer the “leader of the free world”, if it ever was, but is now a shining beacon for those who would replace your constitution with the Mayflower Compact.
Perhaps it is time to declare an end to the American Experiment and American Exceptionalism and hand the whole shebang back to the Indians and the Mexicans. They could do no worse.
