Throw away the veil
Chip chip chip chip away.
It’s not young people. Boys don’t miss school because of period poverty.
Say the word. The word is “girls.” It’s not blasphemy or porn; we can say it. Girls.
To be fair, they do know how to say it.
But they should say it every time they talk about girls – they should never veil the word “girls” behind “young people.”
So more than 100% of all the young females then. I suppose the extra 11% is made up of females who identify as multiple individuals and/or males who identify as “menstruators”.
They will probably tell you, with a straight face, that this includes “trans girls” (and excludes “trans boys”). You don’t drop out of school because of your biology; you drop out of school because of your gender identity, duh.
It’s “people with uteri.” We have to call them that because it’s wrong to classify people according to their reproductive organs.
Right.
Wait, not — it’s not a meaningful category at all. It is literally inexpressible. Remember, a penis-bearer can also be a person with a uterus, and some people’s genitals are fluid. Some people have a penis on Tuesdays and a uterus on Wednesdays.
Ooh, good point. So “people who may or may not currently have uteri, but who have had and/or will have uteri in the past and/or future, or who identify at least some of the time as people with uteri.” Does that cover it?
Still doesn’t get you to 61% of “young people” though.
But remember, we’re the crazy ones…
@5:
Yes, that’s a good, accurate, and as-concise-as-possible formulation.
Are people who can’t have babies but who are fighting for the right to to have babies included?
Especially the ones called Loretta?
@8: How about Romans with lisps? Isn’t that the very definition of “woman”?
