The millions of others
Amnesty International is even dumber than I thought – or its social media intern is, but that’s the same thing, because what is Amnesty doing letting a stupid clueless woman-hating child handle its social media?
It’s millions of men who can become pregnant.
Who knew?
I’m thinking billions of others, but do we know how many actual placental mammals there are? Not the number of species, but actual population count. Maybe it’s trillions. But, the thing is most animals don’t grok bodily autonomy, so let’s just concentrate on women and girls when it comes to abortion rights.
This just gets more and more grating the more I encounter it. Surely there’s a simple English word that means ‘people who can become pregnant’?
The vast majority of non-human female mammals by sheer numbers would, I suspect, be rodents and bats; neither of which have any problem aborting when necessary. The rodent mothers, at least, even eat their own young to ensure their own survival.
I’m not suggesting that cannibalism is the best way to deal with the unwanted pregnancies of women and girls, but it does add to the preponderance of evidence pointing to the lack of intelligent life in AI.
As for other mammals not grokking bodily autonomy, just try petting any cat when they’re not feeling like being petted. In fact, I would suggest that the situation is actually reversed, and all mammals fiercely defend their bodily autonomy; only female humans are bullied and shamed into ceding it.
Between this and the Ukraine report, something is terribly wrong at Amnesty International.
@4: What was the Ukraine report? Was it the one about “relief workers” raping Ukrainian women? Were those “relief workers” from AI?
@5 No, this report: https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2022/08/ukraine-ukrainian-fighting-tactics-endanger-civilians/
Victim-blaming on an international scale.
The Amnesty Ukraine report criticised the UAF for fighting in cities, even after civilians had largely been evacuated. On top of that, a member of Amnesty’s Finnish Board has gone further and recommended a Russian disinfo site as a reputable source.
Hm, reminds me of the arguments that raged during Israel’s operation Protective Edge – the pro-Israel side was all about blaming Gaza for the raids against them.
