The magnetometers
Some observers are saying Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony indicates a seditious conspiracy.
Doing what? It seems the people attending the rally on the lawn were checked for weapons first, so a lot of them were shut out, because of ALL THOSE GUNS. So then apparently the White House or Trump ordered the magnetometers removed…so that heavily armed people could attend the rally and then head for the Capitol, heavily armed.
It’s…yikes.
They really have to. He has to be stopped, because if he’s not, he’ll be back. That must not happen.
Context, in case it’s not clear: Hutchinson testified that Trump himself ordered them to be removed. Her exact testimony, according to CNN:
“Hutchinson testified that she overheard Trump saying that he did not care if his supporters had weapons — and suggested he had no issue with them marching to the Capitol armed. “I overheard the President say something to the effect of ‘I don’t F-ing care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me. Take the F-ing mags away. Let my people in, they can march to the Capitol from here. Let the people in, take the F-ing mags away.””
“Let my people in…”. Fucking tin-pot wannabe Moses.
Thanks James, the context was FAR from clear, I had to go out and hadn’t seen the news from the hearing until that moment so I was RUSHING.
I think the “weapons” being referred to were (mostly) not guns, because D.C. has pretty tough gun laws and the MAGA thugs were aware going in that they could get arrested if they carried. It’s the spear points on flag poles, etc.
Worth noting that next time, they’ll be free to parade around with their AR-15s thanks to the Supreme Court.
Right, I think CNN was reporting knives and things like brass knuckles. Still deadly, and still would have set off the magnetometers, and not things that the Secret Service wants to have in a controlled area. Definitely not things that one wants a mob to have when storming the Capitol. (Brass knuckles are illegal pretty much everywhere, I think.)
