Yeah, the double standards in complaining about presidential leisure time are tedious. Republicans defended GWB’s frequent extended trips to his ranch, then bashed Obama for golfing, then defended Trump’s golf habit, and now are bitching about Biden going home to Delaware some weekends. No doubt you can find Democrats who did the opposite (although my impression is that Obama didn’t really do that much golfing or vacationing, but maybe that’s my bias at work).
I think it’s not your bias at work and also not particularly typical of Republicans in general, it’s just that Bush 2 and Trump were exceptionally lazy presidents.
