We don’t need any more wars, especially after just ending one that took 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban, but we need a major humanitarian mission.
The military used to provide protection only, every effort must be made to locate all the women and girls in Afghanistan and remove them to safety in third countries, just not Islamic ones.
Leave the men to live their best lives without those pesky, smelly, alluring women.
Unfortunately, a military intervention is going to be a war, no matter how the intervention is laid out, and so it’s going to be an almost impossible sell. But I’ve long advocated the minimal effort of treating women the same way we do other persecuted groups, giving them default asylum approval if they can get to a consulate. Just come up with a list of countries that have incorporated the abuse and subjugation of women into their laws, or where systemic rape is a thing, and any woman from those countries gets instant approval.
I mean, to be fair, we’d have to include Texas on the list, but I’d be fine with that.

I hope this brave man is not going to be made to suffer seriously for his action.
