Death by rainbow. Of course death by GSW is pretty inclusive already. Unless these are lipsticks, not bullets.
Just who exactly is serving whom? Are there any other sub-demographics within the USMC that get this kind of recognition? Black Marines? Women Marines? Catholic Marines? Left-handed albino Marines? Does really this help unit cohesion? How long before the poster is pulled because someone complains that there are no pink, baby blue, and white bullets to validate all the T and NB Marines (not to mention compel the continued forced teaming)?
You can’t just treat everyone equally with dignity and respect anymore, you have to make grand pronouncements like it’s some kind of foreign concept. What do you want, a gold star? JFC
GSW = ? Gunshot wound, perhaps? I mostly associate that string of letters with the Golden State Warriors (heading into the NBA championship finals tomorrow). Those bullets do bear an alarming resemblance to lipstick.
Besides, not everyone is deserving of being treated equally with dignity and respect. I treat men who abuse women or children like the worthless bastards that they are. I wonder if the Marines treat their adversaries equally with dignity and respect. *A kinder gentler machine gun hand?
Can institutions like the military and intelligence services really treat everyone with dignity and respect? At some point each deals with “others” who become targets. Those “others” are going to be foreign nationals, but they are no less human. At some point in the course of their work soldiers and spies have to dial down or turn off the “dignity and respect,” rainbow bullets and trans flags notwithstanding.
not Bruce – “Can institutions like the military and intelligence services really treat everyone with dignity and respect?” Exactly. Only if they’re on our team. They were looking for a “few good men” in the 80’s, now they’re apparently looking for a few good “transwomen” too. Possibly boosting recruitment? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sheesh! I am pro-Second Amendment, and that image is giving ME the dry heaves. Note that they stuck to the original pride flag colors but that may only be because there were only so many rounds there. Ah, but they did use LGBTQ so maybe the armed forces of the USA have noticed how violent some of the AGP men can get and decided they would be reliable killers?
Canadian military veterans play an outsized role in anti-government movements, a shift exacerbated by pandemic restrictions, according to a report by an extremist monitoring organization that tracks online activity.
The influence of former military status within anti-government movements is so strong that some adherents falsely claim to be veterans to bolster their status as leaders, the report says.
The report by MEMRI, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit terrorism and extremism monitoring organization, highlights several recent examples of leadership, support and calls to action by Canadian veterans and purported veterans in anti-government groups, protests and forums.
…
The report highlights Diagolon, an organization led by Jeremy MacKenzie, a Canadian military veteran who served in Afghanistan. MacKenzie is currently facing 13 gun-related charges after an RCMP search of his Nova Scotia home sparked by his alleged appearance in online videos with guns.
According to a recent RCMP release, Jeremy MacKenzie, of Plaid Army/Diagolon, was arrested in January on weapons charges in his home province of Nova Scotia. Despite the arrest, he travelled to Ottawa shortly after to attend the convoy protests.

“Adherents of (Diagolon) are prominent in extreme antigovernment networks on social media, often posting content that promotes violence, civil war, and white supremacy,” the report said. An associate of MacKenzie’s, Derek Harrison, in a video livestream during the Ottawa convoy occupation called for “our own January 6th event, see some of those truckers plow right through that 16-foot wall.”
Is it a little cheesy? Sure. But it was so relatively recently that you couldn’t be openly gay and serve in the USMC, that I see this as a positive sign of the times.
If sexual orientation or gender identity were an important facet of soldiering it might be positive (progressive?), but I don’t think self expression and individuality are highly valued while they are training or doing their jobs. They are not in the military to have sex or express their preferred genders or lack thereof. Soldiering is a little different than being a private citizen.
That’s actually a very disturbing sight. Coupling trans activism with military aggression? Run for the hills.

How do you let everyone know you’re on the Right Side of History without making grand pronouncements?
It wasn’t so long ago that treating everyone within the ranks of the US military “equally with dignity and respect” was a foreign concept. Literally. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bamber_Bridge

LGBTQ marines are fabulous at murdering.

Then again, emphasizing dignity and respect within the military may not be a bad thing. We could hope it might improve their behaviour after they leave. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/canadian-military-veterans-play-outsized-role-in-extremist-anti-government-movements-report/ar-AAXXZS8?ocid=mailsignout&li=AAggNb9
