It’s not just the neck, though. Look at the lips. The pouty look created by squeezing the lips out is also blatantly present. Because, of course, women always position their faces to look pouty, right? (I usually position mine to look sort of like a curmudgeon, not intentionally. It just sort of happens that way.)
I once had a photographer friend say to me “I’m a photographer, not a plastic surgeon”. He’d just had to take 320 or so headshots for work, and had dozens of people requesting retakes. Looking at that top right shot though, that photographer and makeup artist might as well be a plastic surgeon. I know in all my life there is exactly one photograph of me that I like, but sadly the others are all representative. Sometimes you just have to accept that you’re not what you believe yourself to be.
I’m usually uncomfortable with making fun of anyone’s appearance, but when men say you can’t tell the difference between men & women and then heavily doctor their “official portrait, I make an exception.
His neck is broken in all of the photos.
Does the tilt become a reflex that is triggered by the presence of a camera?
Mind you, they’re a lot more that’s broken on the inside…

@Rob;
Not makeup & lighting, Photoshop.
