Emmeline Pankhurst was not a TRA
There was a gathering of women today in Manchester, and the women were joined by some men in black hoodies and masks who wanted them to stop gathering.
The vibe is not “protest” but “threat.”
Well, women gathering. I mean to say.
Substitute a statue of Rosa Parks or John Lewis or Thurgood Marshall. Imagine a gang of white supremacists taking over said statue. Think about that. Mmhm.
Like adding a hoe for chopping cotton to a statue of Marshall, or a box of Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix in the hands of a statue of Parks.
We can’t have anything of our own.
Which “they”? The protesters, or the early-arriving women? I saw a short video by PP earlier, pointing out a small contingent of protesters, but that there were several police vans present. I interpreted that as PO being pleasantly surprised that the police were taking the threats to the meeting seriously. No? The police were on the side of the thugs, as usual?
How appropriately timed, and to coincide with the discovery of a mass grave in Spain of victims of the fascist dictator Franco.
Or as the Nazis used to assert in one of their zombie chants: ‘kuche, kirche, kinder.’ (Kitchen, church, children.)
The symbolism of this is quite something.

Not one of the Black Bloc asked themselves if they’re the baddies.
In theatre, a common saying is that everyone is the star of their own story. These dudes want to be the stars of everyone’s story.
Their coverings don’t look intimidating to me, I think it makes them look cowardly. Afraid to show their faces.
I just saw all the ninja thugs called by the hashtag, “#black_pampers.” I giggled.
