Be clearer than that
Oh whew, there’s no problem then, what a relief.
Oh but wait though. Wait a second. Back up. How do we know which is which? How do we know which “trans women” are really just predatory and abusive men disguising themselves as “trans women” to get access to vulnerable women in private spaces? How do we know???
“… predatory and abusive men…” Yes, and some of those men identify as women. I really, really have trouble understanding why this is such a difficult concept.
“… predatory and abusive men, not Americans”: some of whom are men, and some of those men are predatory and abusive. Attempts to keep men out of women’s spaces are not attempts to keep Americans out of women’s spaces, only the overlap between “Americans” and “men”. It would be ridiculous to think that American men are blameless simply because they also fit in the “American” category.
The difficulty arises because “men” also describes trans-identified males, who claim to be women. Ms Robison might have argued that these men are not actually men and shouldn’t be subject to restrictions aimed at men, but no, I guess she just assumes that, and assumes that the restrictions are aimed only a trans-identified men, and even expands that to all trans-identified people.
I think that there should be an amendment that the True Predators must wear a red flag in a visible spot before they are allowed to abuse or attack a woman or child.
We must not conflate the male predators with the trans predators, because? Do trans predators have some special blameless status, or what? Good grief.
Not guilty by reason of
insanitygender identity. :PSo, given that predatory and abusive men will pass themselves off as women in a heartbeat to gain access to victims (and easier jail time for those doing porridge); and given that at least some trans women will be abusive and predatory (human after all); I foresee a lot of no true Scotsman in our future.
As you say, how is a women or girl supposed to know?
No true Scotsman…
