A spiritual battle
Another speaker—Matt Sande, legislative director of Pro-Life Wisconsin—calls the likely repeal of Roe v. Wade “a great first step,” adding that his group will then work to remove the exception for saving the life of the mother from the 1849 Wisconsin anti-abortion law that could go back into effect if Roe is overturned. “This is a spiritual battle,” he says, urging people to “just pray they stick to this [leaked draft] Alito decision.”
Emphasis mine.
Funny how when it comes down to it, they drop “thoughts and prayers” and go for the laws. It’s almost as if they have no faith in the power of their god.
Dobb’s is now released. Roe and Casey both gone. Thomas is already gunning for ‘other right’ established without clear precedent back in the 19th Century. You know, little things like contraception, gay rights etc. I wonder if he’s contemplating woman’s right to vote as well. A pox on every one of them.
He might have a problem with women’s right to vote, since that is actually in the constitution, thanks to the work of many many women. The 19th Amendment isn’t a violation of the constitution, it’s part of it. But yeah, if he could figure out how to get rid of that, I’m sure he would.
