When snits go bad

He means (he clarifies in a later tweet) that the Scouts deleted his Office account, not that he did it.
In short he had a tantrum and “resigned” on Twitter, and the Scouts said Okbye and deleted his removed his access to the account, and now he’s pretending to be concerned about the fallout for The Children.
Yes it’s Maya’s fault that he resigned in a huff on Twitter. Definitely.
It took me a moment to figure out who he meant by MF. Once that became clear, so did the answer to this question. I doubt very much that MF is concerned that the departure of this beardo from the scouts might negatively affect children. Negatively affected by his presence, perhaps.
Children being affected by deletion of important data kept in his account is very much different from children being affected by his departure. Transfer the damn data, after locking him out, then delete the account. That the account deletion was don’t badly is not a reason for him to stay.
How do you “negatively effect” children? I mean, I know how you effect children—I’ve done it myself a couple of times—but for the most part it was a positive experience. And it was not affected one way or the other by the Rev. Gregor.
Sackbut, are we sure they deleted the account without transferring data? We only have his word for that (it might have been deleted for him, off his computer, without being deleted everywhere). We use 365 where I work, and most of the data on my computer is also available to everyone who has access to my one drive. He may be blowing smoke…nah, surely he wouldn’t do that?
We’re not sure; I saw several people saying it’s probably just that they locked him out of the account.
I suspect that legally, an organization is required to retain the files, especially since they are subject to audits. I don’t think that they are gone.
I love that Mr. “Queer AF” (as his Twitter profile says) thinks he’s going to devastate the Scouts by quitting. Meanwhile they’ve probably been trying to find out a way to get rid of him without being accused of being discriminatory for a long time. So he thinks they’re going to be like “oh no” but instead they were probably like “whew, thank goodness”.
The Scouts will have kept the files, for sure. And they’ll be backed up. They will have followed the guidance for the GDPR
