To lose both looks like carelessness
Mofo is impeached, AGAIN. First ever to be impeached TWICE, because he’s such an evil monstrosity.
The Democratic-led U.S. House delivered the historic rebuke to Trump on Wednesday afternoon — exactly one week after his supporters stormed the Capitol building in a rampage that led to five deaths, including that of a Capitol police officer.
The article of impeachment charges Trump with “incitement of insurrection.”
Some 13 months ago, all House Republicans voted against the president’s first impeachment. On Wednesday, 10 GOP members joined with all Democrats to impeach Trump.
…
Ten Republicans broke party ranks to vote in favor of impeachment, including Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who chairs the House Republican Conference.
“None of this would have happened without the President,” Cheney said in a statement Tuesday explaining her vote. “The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.”
…
The Democratic-led House approved the new rebuke in the same chamber where one week ago members of Congress fled an oncoming tide of rioters who had been stoked by the president and his false claims that a bogus election process caused his defeat by President-elect Joe Biden.
…
Impeachment, Pelosi said, is “a constitutional remedy that will ensure that the republic will be safe from this man, who is so resolutely determined to tear down the things that we hold dear, and that hold us together.”
I hope he’s in torment.
Two things:
1. I found this disambiguation darkly amusing:
Second impeachment of Donald Trump
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
_Not to be confused with First impeachment of Donald Trump._
2. I was looking through the list of crimes for which Congress has done impeachments or attempted impeachments. Of all of them, none was as horrifying as “incitement of insurrection”, the most recent one.

That would probably require the loss of another PGA event.
He might be able to let the impeachment of the House roll off his back. It’s just a partisan attack by a bunch of loser Democrats and Surrender Caucus Republicans. His followers will see it as some sort of martyrdom or crucifixion, without Prezident Bonespurs having had to shed any blood, or sacrifice anything at all. Pretty neat and tidy, compared to actual martyrdoms or crucifixions. He didn’t even “walk with them” to the Capitol, the lying orange fucker. He stayed home and watched it on television, his name emblazoned on banners and flags carried and brandished by the faithful.
But conviction by the Senate preventing him from ever running again? That will enrage him. He’ll say that the system’s rigged against him. How terrible of all those rich, dead white guys who wrote the Constitution, fixing the game so he couldn’t ever play it again! I wouldn’t put it past him to try running again somehow. His supporters will probably scrawl his name on primary ballots and election ballots in a final attempt to return their chosen one to power. In any case, Trump will come up with some scheme to fcontinue to fleece his pool of idiots.
I hope that the coming years of criminal trials for Trump and all of his grifting spawn taints the Trump brand forever.
He is, but as you pointed out recently, losing the PGA is a bigger source of torment for the shallow fool.
I don’t know, in a way Trump might benefit from being barred from another run. Then he can claim “the Dems are afraid of me because I would totally CRUSH Sleepy Joe Biden (again) in another landslide!” It’s kind of the perfect out for him — he gets to brag but has a perfect “excuse” for why he doesn’t have to put up or shut up.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still the right thing to do even if it has a silver lining for him.
Trump can stand on the steps of the capitol shouting “It’s only a flesh wound!” Meanwhile, state prosecutors (and possibly federal ones) are sawing off all his limbs.
@Screechy Monkey #4
So he’ll treat removal from office as though they were bone spurs?
I suppose congratulations are in order for being the first to be impeached twice. Sadly, this doesn’t mean jack shit if the Senate doesn’t convict or if Pence doesn’t invoke the 25th.
