Has anyone asked Dillahunty how he came to these conclusions – what is the evidence and logic that he followed to decide that he knows best what is a woman, and may dictate to all the implications of his knowledge?
We’ve posed this rhetorical question before, but I want an answer — how do these people actually define “transwoman”? Surely it must start with “a transwoman is a man who…”.
Peter N, they wouldn’t say it that way, though. It would always be “assigned male at birth”, making it the doctor’s and parents fault he isn’t what he should be. Not really a man at all in spite of the penis, testicles, and sperm which are the key things by which we define male.
iknklast — Well yes I suppose so — but “assigned male at birth” is when I pretty much tune them out (period). It’s just wrong, and it’s stupid. Nobody gets assigned anything to do with sex! His sex was determined at conception, as everybody knows. So “assigned male at birth” is just an invitation to dismiss anything else that person has to say.
Peter N, yes. At most a persons sex is identified at birth. The whole assigned thing has been stolen lock stock and barrel from a now discredited practice that was applied to some (not all) intersex children (often at a point well past birth).
Matt D has a problem, a big problem. He has a “girlfriend” who has a penis. He cannot bring himself to accept his sexuality, therefore his “girlfriend with a penis” must be a woman. It just isn’t possible for a manly man like Matt to be gay.

Let all people with penises into women’s spaces, then there won’t be any women’s spaces, MRA heaven

clamboy, I’d take a substantial bet that asking that question would earn you an instablock.

Misogyny and homophobia walk hand in hand.
