I disagree in that instance, I think it is an item such as a phone being placed or dropped onto a wooden surface.
Well, that’s why I said could be. I think the journalist on the scene thought it was, and he had more context than is in this clip, but I only said it could be. I think there were some shots fired, so it wasn’t impossible…
(Real gunshots aren’t as loud as the ones on tv.)
Very virtuous of you to watch it through the night. I was asleep. I might have stayed up if I’d realized how bad it would get, but I naively thought the Capitol would better protected from a violent mob.
