Dr Spock with a receding hairline. He wants to look like a being from outer space and also to look younger than he is, but succeeds only in looking silly.
I generally respect people who keep themselves clean and neat but don’t overly fuss with their appearance, as that shouldn’t be what’s important in life, but every time I see Zuckerberg that sentiment is challenged. Maybe put just a tiny bit of effort into not looking like Captain Dorkwad?
It wouldn’t even take any particular effort, would it? It’s not so much lack of effort as BAD CHOICE. Bad choice, bad, drop it, nasty, leave it, I SAID LEAVE IT.
Horrid to think of the implications of that – is he Cthulu trying to make a world of a slimy, mindless collective, marching in blindness from the ooze?
To me it looks like he just gets it cropped short then washes it and runs a comb through it, so doing something more than that would require at least a little effort, such as having part of it be a little longer and combing it in a particular direction.
I had a friend who had similar curly hair and a lack of interest in messing with it, so he just had it cut short, and it looked very similar to Zuckerberg’s.
Well I have a brother with curly hair and his has NEVER looked in the least like that. The fuzzy hairline isn’t accidental, Zucker wears it that way ON PURPOSE.

The hairline shown in the photo in the OP did make me think of the mask worn by Yul Brynner’s character in Westworld, or by our Alien Lizard People Overlords.
Westworld, I remember when that first came out. lol. The difference is Yul was secure enough to embrace his baldness and was seen as a sex symbol back then, not some vain, insecure balding guy with a combover wanting to look like a twentysomething. Growing out enough hair to have a combover and making sure it’s arranged right and stays put has to be a lot of work, and don’t ever go swimming. Yet they still look goofy, fake, and ridiculous. A lot of work for nothing if you ask me.
It gives him authority.

But does it? Does it?
It may have worked for Constantine, but now…
Perhaps it’s just a combination of extremely curly hair, necessitating a very close crop to avoid untidiness, and a receding hairline.

Although that photograph does rather remind me of a certain Animal Crossing character.

I don’t think Mark Zuckerberg’s hair style is the worst thing about him.
Combovers are how balding men are forced to look ridiculous by the weight of their own vanity.
That mat is probably only there to hide his charging port and data i/o.
Athel, I don’t think anyone thinks that.

A Facebook friend has pointed out a creepy resemblance to H P Lovecraft.

I invite people to google “data star trek” and see what turns up.

Data on Star Trek sounds right.
