The Hippocratic what now?
Loading the dice, episode ten billion.
The question is carefully shaped to elicit mostly “oppose.” The “transition-related” part is going to sound like mumble-mumble to most people. The question is carefully shaped to appear to ask people if they oppose denying medical care to trans people. It’s sly and manipulative and dishonest.
It’s not medical care at all. Some of it may be psychological care if you believe the story of what trans means, but it’s not medical. It’s not medical care to cut off healthy breasts or penises.
First do no harm.
‘..banning youth medical transition…’
More dishonesty there, as medical transitioning is already illegal for under-18s, and as we are repeatedly told, puberty blockers are most definitely not transition drugs, so what is Singal on about?
“Do you support or oppose legislation that would prohibit physical transition procedures for minors?”
The fact that we are talking about irreversible surgeries is less obscured by removing the vague wording. Or, ask it while explicitly mentioning what is actually being banned:
“Do you support or oppose legislation that would prohibit sex-change surgery and hormone replacement for minors?”
Watch the oppose/support balance drastically change.

Some states in the US permit “transition” mastectomies for girls as young as 16 (therefore minors), and there are cases of younger girls (14) receiving such mastectomies.
And meanwhile, it is often difficult for a woman in her late 20s to early 30s to get a tubal because she simply isn’t mature enough to be sure that’s the right thing; she might want more children later, and how could a woman possibly know at that age that she has all the children she wants?
