Splatting fan appointed
Hm. Sounds like one of those political practical joke type things.
Mansfield today is waking up to the stunning news that their headline-hunting MP, Ben Bradley, has been appointed to the Women and Equalities Committee in the House of Commons.
Who is he? Well…
He has repeatedly whined that white men do not get enough of a break and called for a ‘Minister for Men’.
He has either avoided or voted against legislation promoting equality and human rights, including abortion and same-sex marriage.
…
He’s cool with police brutality and has encouraged officers to ‘splat the chavs’ with water cannons.
He pushed back against Marcus Rashford’s free school meals campaign, supporting the idea that vouchers given out in his constituency go straight to crack dens and brothels.
So, basically, not a fan of women or equalities.
Maybe he’s one of those, “oh, women *say* they want equality until you’re talking about equality of things like war deaths, garbage collectors, or suicides, or murder charges, and then you all go strangely quiet, don’t you?”
Ah yes, pro police brutality… That is not an idle accusation. He explicitly called for more police brutality a few days after the Met killed Mark Duggan, which is what led to riots all across the country in 2011. Literally, he said “I think police brutality should be encouraged.”
He’s also pro eugenics for poor people, anti public sector workers, anti free press and could not, in general, be more opposed to humans, rights or human rights. I’m not aware of any specific anti-woman sentiments or actions, but it’s difficult to believe there aren’t any. He’s basically Alan B’Stard:

Or, in other words, a perfectly run-of-the-mill Tory MP.
Yeah, it’s worth pointing out here that Marcus Rashford is a young footballer who is pretty much the only public figure in the UK who seems to care about or do anything for the disadvantaged. He keeps suggesting courses of action such as not allowing children to starve. The government, of course, is deeply critical of these suggestions until they prove to be popular, whereupon they have been 100% on-side all along.
Rashford is black and therefore hated by exactly 51.89% of the UK population.
