Shameless
The unabashed mendacity of Pink News is a sight to behold.
It starts with the headline:
JK Rowling condemns actors who held trans rights protest outside her house
They didn’t just “hold a protest.” They tweeted a photo with her address in it.
Also I wonder how pleased the people of Pink News would be if people “held a protest” where they live.
Comedian Holly Stars, actor Georgia Frost and drag king Richard Energy staged a demonstration outside the Harry Potter author’s house on Friday (19 November) in protest against her long-condemned views on trans lives.
Long-condemned by whom? Besides Pink News and people incited by Pink News? And her views aren’t on “trans lives,” which is a manipulative and dishonest way to frame the issue. No one wants trans people to have crappy lives, much less to lose them, but that of course is what we’re supposed to gather from reading the Pink News sludge. Rowling’s views are on women, and how new and constantly expanding trans “rights” can violate women’s rights.
A photo was subsequently shared online which showed the trio standing outside JK Rowling’s home
“Was shared” by whom? Evasive manipulative dishonest fucks that they are. The people who went to Rowling’s house to harass her also posted a photo of her house and address on Twitter.
None of this is defensible, and Pink News knows it. It wouldn’t be using such fraudulent evasive language if it didn’t.
One thing you can be certain of is that gender identity extremists will never condemn the behaviour of one of their own. They might no-true-scotsman it away, if they can, but they will never condemn.
Our side? We do it all the time. And rightly so; it’s maddening when criticism turns into a purity spiral (and I’m seeing that more often these days) but I’m glad it’s there. I’m glad there isn’t a gender critical party line because I’m damn sure I wouldn’t be able to toe it.
Remember the BBC Cotton Ceiling article? A woman was mentioned there in connection with coining the term. It turns out she has some pretty abysmal behaviour on record. GC people widely condemned it, while the gender crowd tried to use it to discredit the article.
In this case one might think they’d say “well, sure, JKR is a horrible TERF and everything, but this sort of thing isn’t really on. Maybe everyone should delete the picture and not do this kind of thing again.” You’d think that would make a very public case that their side is nice and caring and responsible.
Silence, as far as I’m aware.
Happens every time. I could probably think of half a dozen high profile examples off the top of my head. They just can’t admit that anyone on that side would ever do anything wrong because…. well, we know why because.
‘
And even when they do the no-true-scotsman, they will sooner or later get around to saying “but she was a TERF” or “she held hateful views” as if that explains committing violence against someone. The implication (sometimes even the outright explicit statement) is that she deserved it.
Patrick Kelleher is a Pronoun Person, which identifies him as a member of the Trans Cult. An article from him that completely misrepresents JK Rowling is unsurprising.
It’s Pink News. It doesn’t matter who the author of any particular piece is, because Pink News is what it is.
A shitty tabloid? :D

Gender identity propaganda with absolutely no regard for the truth.
In order not to fall foul of the 1875 offence of besetting a house the potential offender needs to be attempting to gain or communicate information. IIRC this became dead letter after the Grunwick dispute.
When they came for the sweatshop bosses I did not speak out because I was not a sweatshop boss…
