Plenty of barriers
It’s “oppression” for women to want to compete against women, and girls against girls?
By men, who will never face this particular obstacle.
But it’s not oppression. Women and girls who don’t want to compete against men and boys are not oppressing anyone. Men and boys who insist on competing against women and girls, on the other hand, are.
These men. I swear.
It’s very important that girls learn that, no matter how hard they work, and no matter how good they are at what they do, there’s always going to be some guy stepping in front of them and taking the win.
Don’t need sports for that. We have everyday life.
Shorter Matt Wallaert:
“I’m fine with my daughter losing out on scores of personal successes, athletic scholarships, possible professional sponsorships, and who knows how many other opportunities just as long as I get to virtue-signal and hand-wave about some alleged “oppression” that comes into play when we prevent male-bodied athletes with all their inherent biological advantages from stealing all those opportunities from girls and women.”
Someone nominate this guy for a Nobel prize.
He can share Trump’s.
Why should he have to share? Sharing is for girls!
“My kid will learn more by losing to you than by oppressing you.”
Do you even listen to yourself?!? Your trans kid will learn more by not-competing (losing a chance) against girls than by oppressing the girls by cheating and stealing their places. Who is f*ing oppressing whom, eh?
iknklast, this is how kids’ sports are a good preparation for life.
I wonder how Bear feels about her dad being happy to sacrifice her future on the altar of trans ideology?
Acolyte, I’m sure she feels thankful about it. She now understands that men have the right to decide her future for her: what she is allowed to have, what she is allowed to say, and what she is allowed to win. I’m sure the statement welling up in her is “Thank you, Daddy, for helping me understand that I am your chattel today, and will be another man’s chattel later!”
Well, and if she isn’t ok with it, then that’s a sign that she isn’t subservient and is probably “really” a boy.
Behold the perfect self-reinforcement of a new religion.
Heads I win, tails you lose.
Light bulb moment a few days ago. Someone (on Twitter I think) pointed (or words to the effect) out that kids might be disphoric but not necessarily trans. Many of those talking about “trans” kids are starting from their preferred conclusion. Wasn’t it a Mermaids presentation slide that listed dozens symptoms (some contradictory) all of which were supposed to be indicative of being “trans”? Just as now use “trans identified male”, I will henceforth refer to “disphoric children.”
Not explained: how having fair and safe competition equates to oppressing trans people.
