Online resale tips and vaccine denialism

Two Alabama YouTubers who became known for online resale tips and vaccine denialism have both died of COVID-19. Tristan Graham succumbed to the virus three weeks ago in Huntsville, and Dusty Graham died Thursday, according to the GoFundMe page operated by their children. In one of the final videos on their now-deleted channel, “We are ALIVE and still Reselling on eBay,” the couple discussed why they would never get immunized. Dusty said, “I’ve got my own passport. It’s called the ‘Bill of Rights.’ I think this will be all behind us in a couple of years.” The couple blogged under the moniker “Alabama Pickers” about the best ways to resell secondhand items on eBay.
They encouraged other people to be Covid “skeptics.” That’s not a good thing to do.
You know, it might be behind us in a couple of years IF PEOPLE WOULD GET VACCINATED, socially distance, and wear masks. Deny the virus vectors to carry it. Deny it a home to mutate. But no, we want to make a political statement out of it, show our love for Trump and our loathing for east coast medical elites who just want to take our freedoms (and our guns) away.
Because putting on a mask is a statement of submission! To Communism! To Socialist Communism! To Fascist Socialist Communism! To Atheistic Fascist Socialist Communism! To those anti-American sorts who think the Constitution means what it says, and that the law applies as much to conservative assholes as it does to liberals (assholes or otherwise).
There is a YouTuber I follow because he is a serious skeptic about a certain segment of Wokeism. Namely, he is vocal in proclaiming that no, a YouTune star who weighs 500 pounds and features “mukbang” gorging on Cheescake Factory food is NOT healthy. No, a 450 pound woman is not heroic for tottering down a fashion show aisle barely able to walk. As someone who struggles with food addictions, I appreciate the rather serious dose of reality he presents.
Until he started focusing on COVID denialism, vaccine skepticism, and other aspects of the current crisis. As I have said with respect to the liberal community’s buy-in on Trans ideology, I am so…disappointed…when people I otherwise respect go off the deep end. :(
