It must repeat the lie
Tatchell squares the circle.
Listen up, ladies, says Peter Tatchell – you need safety from male violence but that doesn’t mean we can’t force you to be “inclusive” of men in your safety from male violence. We want you to be safe! All of you! Including the male ones! So in order to be safe from male violence you have to be “inclusive” of men by pretending they are in fact women. All lives matter!
You lost me at “says Peter Tatchell .”
The underlying assumption of course is that TIMs exhibit female patterns of violence rather than male ones. At some point I came across statistics showing otherwise— that transwomen were no more, or less, violent than other males — but I can’t find it right now. I did see the question addressed in the prison population, and the result was as expected (by us.) And lots of sex crimes:

I suspect that any data on this is going to be hard to come by, for various obvious reasons.
Thank you for making this clear. It’s so easy for us to laugh at the TRAs and roll our eyes at their statements (because so much of it is so patently ridiculous), but here there’s actually a real, testable basis for the argument between us and them.
If TiMs exhibit male patterns of violence, then they indeed need to be kept out of female safe spaces, no matter what other factors exist.
If TiMs exhibit female patterns of violence, then — if (!) the risk to women be the only factor here — they would be better present in female safe spaces than in male ones. (Of course they could equally be kept safe in spaces specific to TiMs, which I would gladly support [as long as it be not too expensive — the problem then is the slippery slope that every made-up group will insist on sate spaces of its own], but that’s not the [direct] question here.)
As far as violence and patterns of male/female, when I see “punch TERFs”, I don’t think female. Because of the differences inherent in our bodies (which are real, no matter what the woke say), women tend not to punch as their first option. More likely kick, scratch, bite, or slap. Reaching first for punching gives away that the TiMs are in fact male in their bodies and behaviors. Oh, perhaps women body-builders or boxers will punch first, but most women are neither body-builders or boxers. I know that whenever I have seen two women fight, I don’t see them punching each other.
Oh, and hair pulling…that’s another one. But TiMs are afraid to let someone pull their hair for fear the wig will come right off.
Neither do I, but that’s anecdotal, not a study.
And yes, it’s extremely likely that people whose bodies are male and who grew up socialized as male would exhibit male patterns of violence, but again, that’s not a study.
Peter Tatchell is a pedophile apologist and I don’t take safety tips or advice on which men are safe to be around from men who cape for men who rape children.
The very least we should demand from the trans cult is about a dozen reputable long term studies proving that men who claim to be women don’t offend criminally at the same rate as all other men. But that is never go to happen because they are just as likely to be dangerous as any other group of men. And, if the data from UK prisons is correct, men who claim to be women may be MORE likely to be sexual predators than other groups of men.
This is a rather shallow thing but I’m pretty sure in that group only the person one from the right has any chance at passing and maybe only due to facial expression obscuring bone structure.
It’s interesting that the burden is the other way around. Not “ here are studies demonstrating that transwomen exhibit female levels and patterns of violence” but “show me it’s NOT safe!”
The other problem isn’t major issues of male violence and assault, but the more “minor” issues like male voyeurism, leering, flirting, and other creepy behavior that goes below the threshold where the average woman feels they should report it to the police (or even to the establishment it took place in.) If the perv can just deny it — or, worse, start screaming that it’s “transphobia” — it takes a strong, confident woman to complain. And those men who do such things, whether they’re “real” transgender or faking it, can probably spot which women are more likely to be timid, embarrassed, or scared, and act accordingly.
Those “ minor” issues can have a major impact on individuals, who may just choose to avoid situations where they have to use those facilities in the future.
I’ve been amused (and frustrated) sitting in on discussions where both men and women blithely insist that men who go into places like Women’s restrooms and changing rooms “can’t see anything anyway” because there are doors or curtains. O my sweet naive child …
I think the matter of whether or not TiMs exhibit make pattern violence is actually of almost no relevance in whether or not they belong in women’s shelters.
The only relevant factor is that they are male strangers that are no there because they are a battered woman’s son.
The women accessing these shelters and their children are victims of male violence. Therefore no male teens or adults can be there.
My argument is the same as why a shelter that protects and rehabilitates victims of dog attacks wouldn’t have any emotional support dogs. Because they’re dogs. Someone healing from a dog attack won’t know that this is a nice dog. Perhaps she will learn to trust dogs again given time, but this is patently not the time.

Same for sports. TRAs make the claim without a hint of irony that the burden of proof is on the person making the claim that wrong-sex hormone therapy doesn’t negate natural advantages from sex.
Like … For real? The burden of proof is on the person who isn’t sure about your claim that a red paint job doesn’t make that knife you’re holding at my throat completely safe?
Really?
It’s on us to prove that a snake oil salesman’s wares don’t work, not vice versa?
Really?
…
Really?
The woke narrative is that trans-women are predominantly, or exclusively, homeless teenagers expelled from homophobic families and surviving by sex work. And sure, these can be victims of the same violent creeps that threaten women.
But, if the pursuit of that narrative blinds one to the existence of the Karen White/Jessica Yaniv population, you’ve lost any claim to justice or progress. It’s as if NAMBLA had succeeded in infiltrating the gay rights movement back in 1973…and never lost control.
