One piece of good news, which is actually just a piece of bad news undone.
related pause and the stranglehold of certain health-funded projects, that have pushed for 'sex work is work' policy and sticking plaster solutions for the women being abused on the zone will end. I hope the disgraced Leeds City Council that have long defended this approach,
for this dereliction of duty and catastrophic failure in tacking grotesque abuse of women in the sex trade. LCC enabled and encouraged men to pay for sex with the most vulnerable women as though it was a 'right'. Shame on them all: https://t.co/3RRQuPhAtk
One of the many problems with the zone was that it had a tendency to bleed into outlying areas. Schoolchildren were accosted for sex on their way to school. I’m sure Ophelia wrote about it here at least once.
There’s a push to legalize ‘sex work’ in Oregon. Failed [was tabled] in legislature, but supporters plan to put this on the ballot. Given success of other ‘liberalizations’ [eg, magic mushrooms, recreational drugs in general], this initiative could well pass.

I thought so too so I looked for it and found it. Last September. Quoting DrEm’s report.
