We’ve left the 21st century (and even the last half of the 20th) and moved swiftly backward. So yesterday to think the concerns of women would matter. Why, we don’t want to be yesterday! So let’s go back to the 19th century…the 18th century….the 17th century…the dresses women wore back in those times were so pretty, too, and so nice for women because men couldn’t see their legs! And the constricting corsets kept them from getting in trouble! And they didn’t have to worry about domestic violence, because if the term hadn’t been invented by western imperialists, why, domestic violence wouldn’t happen! It would just be life.
None of those problems of the past were really problems because they only affected CIS women. Since Trans Women were limited to the two-spirit pre-colonial otherlands no one died due to their gender in Europe.
Well I mean, statistically very little really matters. Your chances of being murdered, beaten, or robbed by a police officer are so vanishingly tiny that we just shouldn’t bother having a debate about it or systems in place to prevent/deal with it. Except of course it matters a LOT to the people it happens to. Even your chances of dying of Covid re vanishingly small – just 0.05% of the World population after all.
We do all sorts of things as a society to prevent harm arising from very unlikely sources. I wonder what makes this different?

Should we return to men owning women, too?
