Big Bro
Now the UK police are not just shouting at us about the “rights” of trans women, they’re also threatening us if we talk back.
The police are doing this.
The police are telling women we have to let men who say they are women into our sports, and they are reporting us if we say that’s an injustice.
The police are taunting women over the loss of their rights and then punishing us when we talk back.
The police are doing this.
It’s infuriating. The police don’t have the legal power to do this, but no-one is reining in whoever who are doing this in their name and telling them to knock it off.
Exactly. It’s maddening.
Does this sort of messaging qualify as propaganda?
Arcadia, I was going to rephrase it as Copagander, then realised it has a different meaning in the antipodes. But there you, I did it anyway.
Oh, if only I was still on Twitter. The only response to their “we see you” tweet would be to respond with “see this” and a pic of the me giving them the double bird salute.
@ Roj Blake, “copping a gander”, especially with the “we see you” puts a very different and grosser spin on it.
They can’t see me – my gender is invisible.
What about your gander?
@latsot, “to cop a gander” is Australian slang for having a look at something. Depending on tone, can mean to check someone out, or perfectly ordinary looking at anything.
Impropaganda.
Arcadia,
Yes, I know that. Here in NE England we say “have a gander.”
I just like thinking about Roj having an invisible gander ;)
Incopagander, if we’re talking about Roj’s invisible gender. Or gander.
Too bad the police won’t spend a fraction of that energy against, say, domestic violence or religious demagoguery.
