For how much longer? Have the TRAs (Perpetual Outrage Division) had chance to descend on her yet? I foresee that Rustin’s future will involve a groveling apology of the TWAW, TMAM and non-binary identities are real and valid variety at the very least.
I doubt it, because she can’t be unaware of the rage machine poised to start up. She wouldn’t have said it if she hadn’t decided to hell with the rage machine.
I’m not doubting Rustin’s attitude at all. My concern is whether the twitchy-sphinctered higher-ups at the Guardian will back her or try to force her into a corner when the inevitable storm breaks. Their record so far, along with the usual level of reporting on trans issues there is somewhat less than admirable.
I can’t stop thinking about this.
