I propose a new term to be added to political terminology: POTATUS. A potatus is what you get when someone with a potato for a brain becomes POTUS.
Trump obviously does not have the slightest understanding of or interest in the concept of checks and balances. He may have skimmed through The Constitution of the United States the way he might flick through a girlie magazine, but I seriously doubt it, as it is well established that he has the attention span of a toddler.
The Constitution emerged from a long historical process of drafting, adopting and amendments. It is framed the way it is just in case some extreme case of megalomania gets to be President. And Trump is definitely putting it through its paces on that score.
