Nah, the states ARE the country, not part. The federal government is made up of the states, it is not it’s own self contained entity. He really doesn’t understand the basics, neither does Kushner. Fascist dipshits.
twiliter, no, you see, the States *are* the Country when the Electoral College meets, because fuck those cities on the coasts, and the States *aren’t* the Country when they need succor from the aggregate of their fellows (especially when the ones who most need succor contain those cities on the coasts).
I don’t think that’s strictly true, in a legal sense. Although all the states, territories, districts, etc., are coextensive with the geographical area of the United States, the federal government IS its own legal entity and jurisdiction, independently of the states and their governments.
