The reproductive care “women” need
It is so strange to be a narcissist interviewing OB-GYNs who talk about women instead of about me. I don’t know how to describe it other than it feels like we are not talking about me. If we are not talking about me, it’s as if I don’t exist. Yes I really am that pathetic and needy. I’m so desperate to focus all the attention on me that I feel compelled to pretend that there are no women, there are only “women” – those evil bitches who erase my identity by being women instead of “a nonbinary person.”
If you’re in a world where you don’t exist then you can’t also be interviewing people in that world, you twonk.
I get that they don’t want to have to play the sexist, stereotypical role that has been assigned to their biology by society , but rejection of that role does not change the biology to which the role has been arbitrarily and prejudicially assigned. Strange how anyone can thinks that declaring themselves “nonbinary” means they suddenly stop being male or female. It’s like deciding to opt out of being a mammal, or a vertebrate.
It’s almost like stepping into a world of facts, medicine, and science, where my feelings and conceits are not the most important thing in the galaxy and people try to get real things done.
I think one of the most frustrating things I encounter when in discussions with trans activists is the confidence in which they’ll insist “terfs” confuse gender and sex.
If transgender and non-binary people actually agreed that they’re transgressing the culturally-bound norms and assumptions attached to sex, then we’d all be in happy agreement. No gender-nonconforming person would think anything amiss in a gynecologist talking about the reproductive care women need. Instead, they confuse gender with sex.
I just love having to use the “I know you are but what am I” argument.
I know. If we could just call it gender-nonconforming then NONE of this would be necessary.
Yeah, but not making happy snowflakes, because if they say they are that, I can say “Hey! Me too!” And probably everyone on this site and nearly everyone I know could say so, if they are honest (and some are not, wanting to fit the stereotype because they believe in it). The only people I know who manage to conform to gender stereotypes with any rigidity have to work very hard to do so.
Doctors cannot doctor, and actors cannot act. By decree.

Roj;
I wonder what would happen if the show went on as planned? Too many institutions are taking such “concerns” “very seriously.” Perhaps they’re upset at a man playing a man pretending to be a woman, instead of a man pretending to be a woman playing a man pretending to be a woman? How does one tell the difference? Aye, there’s the rub! But IT’S ACTING FER CHRISSAKES!!! Are they only going to be allowed to hire dentists to play dentists, detectives to play detectives and murderers to play murderers? If that’s the case it’s gonna get awfully hard to cast anything.
Yeah, like 5′ 6″ Tom Cruise playing 6′ 5″ Jack Reacher. Or anyone other than a Russian spy playing a Russian Spy. Still, if only X can play X it might stop another washed up reality show host becoming POTUS. Silver lining.
And what about Neil Patrick Harris, a gay man, playing a straight man? Stealing all those roles from Hetero actors.
And if only trans actors can play trans characters, this also means that trans actors cannot play non-trans characters, right? How could a trans actor understand the lived experience of a “cis” person?
Now you’re just being silly. If TWAW, then why shouldn’t a TW play a woman, any woman? So we hire Morgane Oger to play Marilyn Monroe – that must makes sense, right? But…we must never hire Marilyn Monroe to play Morgane Oger (even if MM were still alive).
Nothing works both ways with trans; it’s all about being trans, centering trans, and letting trans do whatever the hell they want to without regard for women, because women are boring, and oppressors. If you believe trans dogma, anyway.
But you know what? I’m kinda tired of all the non-scientists playing scientists, and all the non-cooks playing cook. I can science, and I can cook, so why should someone else play those roles, people who can’t science and can’t cook? Never mind that one thing I’m not good at is acting; why would I have to act to play a scientist, right?
Morgane Oger to play Monroe? Surely that Jessica Yaniv dude’s a shoe-in for the role of the beautiful blonde bombshell.

On the subject of “It’s like deciding to opt out of being a mammal, or a vertebrate.”
I would say it is the people who enable the trans cult lunacy that have opted out of being vertebrates.
Funny you should mention mammals and vertebrates…(see latest post)
