Hur hur. Misogyny? Us?? Neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Funny what a lot these “activists” have in common with Trump – the hatred of women, the slavering over projected violence, the contempt for women, the longing to see snarling dogs tear people to bits…
Rowling, that supposed danger to children, has spent hours on Twitter sharing the drawings children have been sending her at her request; drawings illustrating her new (free, online) Ickabod book.
In return, on Twitter, a brave trans twit named Dani tweeted, “Who else wants to flood JKs stupid attempt to solicit free marketing materials from children with pro trans art and like dicks and stuff?”
Bastardry comes in at least 57 varieties.
Meanwhile I’ve been fielding attacks and threats from the defenders of trans activism, the latest of whom include a middle-aged Furry who happens to also identify as “trans” (I guess that means his plush animal sex avatar has pink fur and a bow in its hair?), and a middle-aged Adult Baby Diaper Fetishist who identifies as a “trans” little girl. These people are nothing like the small minority of (often but not always) sympathetic dysphoric people for whom transition used to be seen as a not-ideal-but-necessary treatment for their distress — the kinds of people this new cohort is invoking when they describe themselves as vulnerable and brave. The gender identity movement has opened the floodgates for hordes of entitled (often horny) jerks to rush into women’s spaces under the pretense that they’re part of this small population of genuine sympathetic transsexuals, who tended to be more respectful of women in their social roles as transwomen.
And there are yet larger hordes of fools: “allies” who think they’re on the right side of things by handing more and more (really, the entirety of) women’s rights over to anyone who says they’re entitled to them, no matter how dubious their claim is. I mean, do these “trans allies” genuinely believe that simply because an Adult Baby Diaper Fetishist imagines himself as a little girl instead of a little boy when he’s doing his business in his diaper, that that qualifies him (her?!) as a genuine trans person and entitled to the full gamut of women’s rights? Does the difference between being legally allowed to shower in the women’s open shower at the YMCA and being obligated to use the men’s shower come down to whether or not your Furry Sex Avatar Persona has pink or blue fur or a ribbon in its hair?
This is totally out of control, and nobody, not women, not transwomen, certainly not “LGBT”, is going to benefit from this ridiculous detour into postmodern madness.
J K Rowling makes liberal statements in a reasonable tone of voice. Amazing how this riles people.
I’m going to say that yes, they do, but that doesn’t mean much. I suspect that such people have at aome level given up on not only critical thinking but also on anything like a tether between belief in external rreality. They probably believe in the same way rhat a casual Christian believes in God.
