I’ve ordered a copy, and I hardly ever buy new books (I go to the library–which is now closed, of course–or buy used).
I bought it partly to support JKR, and partly because it sounds interesting. I like true crime, and I understand JKR grounds her detective fiction in knowledge of the sordid realities.
Also Nick Cohen says it’s “Dickensian in scope.” So that’s me sold.

I do get the sense that those who fulminate about transphobia aren’t great readers of crime genre books.
I wouldn’t ordinarily be interested in reading it, as I didn’t like the part of one Harry Potter book I read, and try not to ‘waste my time’ with crime novels (particularly 900 page ones)–but I may read this one, as I’ve heard it’s both good and explicitly feminist. (It looks like our local library is ordering a zillion copies.)
