“She’s a bigot”
A Twitter account that claims to be a bookshop for women…
I wonder why Rowling blocked this bookshop for women.
Oh. I guess that’s why. Claims of the “she doesn’t believe trans people should have rights” type – lies, in short. Possibly also the illiteracy – “on accident” “what if that child was trans” – two in just one sentence.
What “believes”? What are these terrible believes she holds that show she has no heart and are such a heartbreak? That men are not women. How could she possibly come to hold such a believe?
Well, no, not truth. Lies, actually. LIES TO POWER. That’s useful how, exactly?
Not a women’s bookshop at all.
I suspect “bookstore of books by women”, when translated, will turn out to be “bookstore of books by women and also by not-women”.
I love how these people think being blocked on Twitter is some kind of indicator of grand accomplishment, like it means they’ve contributed to human progress or something.
And of “touching her heart.” Yeah I’m sure that’s what this fool did.
Holms, it may in fact be more by not-women than by women…or at least about non-women. A bookstore I used to frequent turned sour when I discovered that their section on women (always heavy on only two types of women – lesbians and trans) was now only carrying things about not women (trans). Even the lesbians had disappeared.
And they rejected a dystopian novel I wrote about the criminalizing of menstruation because it wasn’t inclusive. Oh, I had a woman of color in there…but no non-menstruating women (i.e. men) were included in my book about women being thrown in jail for menstruation. Go figure. (Of course, they might say it was because I didn’t include any men who menstruate – i.e. transmen.) Everything must be about trans to be worthy of consideration. Even pandemics…(Yeah, it strikes me that Rowling wasn’t the one who started this thing during a pandemic; she only responded to someone else who thought it was important to try to take away the reading matter she is providing for bored children.)
