Pricey assistance
Giuliani is not a cheap date, apart from that one time at the Four Seasons garden center.
Rudy Giuliani asked for $20,000 a day to assist the Trump campaign’s legal efforts in battleground states, according to the New York Times.
The request stirred opposition from some of Mr. Trump’s aides and advisers, who appear to have ruled out paying that much, and it is unclear how much Mr. Giuliani will ultimately be compensated.
Since Mr. Giuliani took over management of the legal effort, Mr. Trump has suffered a series of defeats in court and lawyers handling some of the remaining cases have dropped out.
A $20,000-a-day rate would have made Mr. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who has been Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer for several years, among the most highly compensated attorneys anywhere.
It seems a little greedy when Don is such a humble everyday guy and has all those kids to put through school.
Actually that would be the behavior that trump would admire.
Guiliani’s greed vs. Trump’s deadbeat tactics is like the proverbial irresistible force vs. immovable object.
I wonder how the Trump campaign managed to make $800 million in campaign funds disappear? Grifters gonna grift.
Oh, come on, let a man wet his beak. For a five-day working week that’s only five million a year, five-point-two million if you can’t get away with making the poor old sod take a two-week unpaid vacation. There are sports stars earning more than that – even *gulp* black sports stars. Can’t be having that kind of inequality these days. Not if you’re part of the Racist-in-Chief’s inner circle, anyway.
zubanel, #1: If I were of a suspicious nature (which I am where the Trumps are involved) I’d suspect that Trump suggested that figure on the understanding that there’d be a commission in it for Donnie if those holding the purse-strings cough up.
I rather like the idea that Giuliani is stringing Trump along, to sting him for 20 grand per day.
We get a lot of warnings here about scamming the elderly, when unscrupulous crooks get them scared and fool them into moving their money into accounts that the crooks then empty.
I hope Giuliani is getting the fees in advance.
Trump won’t care about that, he can just dip into campaign funds for personal expenses. Why pay for anything yourself, when you have a swarm of deluded fools sending in their own bread?
