If you think it’s “unfair”
No shit, Sherlock.
That’s right, I don’t think trans girls are girls. I think they’re boys who think they “feel like” girls or feel better thinking of themselves as girls or various other explanations of that kind. I don’t think any of that is the same as literally being a girl. I also don’t think there’s anything surprising or weird in my view on the matter.
I also think there are some “trans girls” who are simply pretending in order to play their sport in competition with girls instead of boys, because they become instant winners and record-breakers that way. Yes, I damn well do think that’s unfair. I also think it’s unfair even if the boy really does think he feels like a girl. I think that because it’s true.
Go ahead, “Chase,” be shocked.
I take issue with Strangio’s pronouncement, because one doesn’t have to believe that to find it unfair.
I don’t believe that a 21-year-old who, for whatever circumstances, has not yet graduated high school, should be competing in high school sports. It’s not that I don’t think the 21-year-old is a “real” high schooler; I just think that he or she would have an unfair advantage over the competition. And sure enough, a quick Google search reveals that many (possibly all, but I didn’t check) states have age limits for high school sports eligibility.
I’m sure that somewhere out there is some poor individual who finds themselves in high school at 21 through no fault of their own (maybe their parents were “homeschoolers” who did a shitty job of it, etc.) and would really really love to be on a high school sports team and gosh, isn’t that unfair? But we don’t impose unfairness on every other competitor just to make one person feel better. After all, that 21-year-old high schooler can still participate in plenty of other school activities to bond with classmates, express school spirit, etc., and he or she can still play sports with their fellow adults. Just as trans women can still engage in sport even if they aren’t allowed to enter competitive women’s events.
Yes, true. I forgot that point in my irritation at Strangio.
The gender dysphoric people should have their own sports divisions. Just call them open divisions, there is precedence for that. These people (and their followers and initiates) could also try to figure out fair and reasonable solutions for themselves (if they are able?) without attacking everyone else. But it looks like they just want to attack everyone else, that is clearly their agenda.
Or to paraphrase Churchill, never in the history of human endeavour has so much horseshit been served up in the guise of morality.
Also, not just “a sporting event” Chase, specifically girl’s and women’s sporting events, it’s rather that simple.

I had my DNA tested and did not find that spitting into a plastic tube was a life-shattering experience for me.
If women like Chase want to force trans cult dogma on the rest of us, then she should expect a push back.
If we have to go back to testing DNA for sports (this was done in the past) it is only because of this gender cult’s own actions.

There are also those who feel better when treated as if they were girls, which of course relies on different treatment of the sexes being maintained.

Or simpler still, declare the male competition the open division, as is already the case in chess. No need for male, female, AND open.

It is not considered an invasion of privacy when checking against other forms of cheating, so this another example of TRAs demanding another special exemption for themselves.
In most workplaces in the USA, you have to urinate in front of a witness to be drug tested to either get a job or if you have had an accident in the workplace. Funny how that “invasion of privacy” is quite all right with many people.
I wonder how many ‘trans athletes’ are driven entirely by the desire to win against smaller, slower, weaker competition. Certainly, our downtrodden, opwesséd, trans athletes don’t seem to show up in sports where gender-advantage is minimal. All these sprinters and weight lifters…not so many distance runners, and seemingly NO gymnasts.
