Naturally shutting down in a crisis is all about Donald. Naturally. People don’t want to die, but only because by staying alive, they have to stay home, and that might threaten the Donald’s re-election. If it weren’t for their irrational hatred of the Donald, they would gladly get infected and die an incredibly miserable death. (As someone who once suffered a near fatal asthma attack, I know it will not be pretty and clean, just nodding off to sleep and never waking).
