But when the shoe is on the other foot…
Oh look at that, how interesting. There’s a thing – a campaign? group? website? all of the above? – called Prostate Cancer UK. It’s quite unabashed about saying it’s men who get prostate cancer. Men, we are with you, it says on the front page. Twice.
Men, men, man, men, in just one bit of the home page.
Scroll down – lots more use of the word.
And they’re on Twitter. Not abashed about the M word there either.

Where are all the angry cries about exclusion?
I would definitely consider a dress, lipstick, and pronouns to avoid prostate cancer. How’s that working for you, trans women? That’s what I thought.
I double-dare them to put a TIM in lipstick on their promo.
Oh, come on. That’s totally different. Men might not put up with it, and they have more power to fight back – viciously. Powerful people who fight viciously are never bigoted. Everybody knows that.
I daresay that TIMs would be triggered at the reminder that they can get prostate cancer. They would be deeply worried and saddened over the implications of being included in with the men.
If it was a woman’s health site reminding folks that “women can also get prostate cancer” they might be okay with that.
@Sastra – they do have a page explaining that trans women can constract prostate cancer. It blathers on about “cis men” and “assigned male at birth” and all that. https://prostatecanceruk.org/prostate-information/are-you-at-risk/trans-women-and-prostate-cancer
