A half-empty arena
The Tulsa tweets are interesting.
Also…I hate to say this, but…he drank from a glass of water. Yes really. Then he threw it across the stage, with a “You feelin’ lucky today punk?” look on his face. Stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever seen.
He threw a glass! What a macho man!
Not to be pedantic or anything, but Rex Chapman (first tweet) clearly doesn’t understand the phrase ‘bird’s-eye view’. Unless that bird’s a penguin, I suppose.
I think we all know whose “Kung-Flu” is superior…
(sorry, don’t hit me)
Cheering… because he (stiffly, slowly) drank from a glass one handed. How do you even satirise something so sad?
These people have to be being paid for that performance. I did see someone post a casting call for ‘enthusiastic people’ for the event.
I read on twitter that there were prank demands for tickets so that the organisers thought the turn out would be huge and built extra space, that wasn’t required.

I’d normally think this a bit mean and even anti-democratic, but I have to give the pranksters some applause on this – the biter bitten hard.
OK, that is NOT the normal way to hold a tumbler. He has his little finger curled under the base, as I do – because I don’t have enough grip with my arthritic fingers to stop a glass slipping. He appears to be in pain – so much, that after his second slip he throws the glass; I’m not sure whether that’s deliberate (rather than embarrass himself by dropping it) or whether it’s a reflex due to the increasing pain.
The water thing is so pathetic.
It basically confirms what was suspected previously: He apparently can’t lift his right arm that high and also probably can’t tilt his head back. Last time he compensated by pushing the cup up with his left hand to finish drinking it. This time he just doesn’t finish drinking it and tries to hide that fact with the ridiculous throw.
How long did this pathetic man take to rehearse this? Did he come up with the “throw the cup away” distraction himself, or did he need his top advisors for that?
When it’s all said and done, his performance backfired: It looks forced and weird, and he can’t finish it.
MLK: I have a dream
DJT: I have a drink!
I hope the link works. “Oklahoma!” parody from the Stephen Colbert show. Very funny. Not up there with Randy Rainbow or Roy Zimmerman, but funny nonetheless.
