A few hours
I see last time I stopped posting at 3:40 in the afternoon (Pacific time). It’s 5:15 now and it’s not looking good for Florida, which is important.
Last time my first post on the day after was…not happy.
I want him gone.

I swear I don’t understand people. Mid-day in the UK and it’s still too close to call the presidential election, it’s neck-and-neck in the Senate results at 47 each with 6 to call (Dem’s tally includes 2 independents, with one seat flipped from Rep to Dem), and for the House it’s currently 188-181 in the Democrat’s favour with 66 results still to be called, but with four seats flipped from Dem to Rep. (from Guardian, using AP figures)
There are still a lot of votes to be counted in the main election and Trump has already said that he’s going to the Supreme Court to try and get any more counting stopped, but currently Biden is leading 238-213 so that might backfire on Trump.
How Biden hasn’t already won by a massive margin is beyond me, but the older I get the more people mystify me.
I will say the UK websites are doing a better job of reporting on the election than the US ones, all the US news websites are hard to navigate and too vague. I actually found the Telegraph, of all places, to have a relatively clear and accurate picture of what’s happening. The Guardian is doing a decent job of it too.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh
This is even worse than four years ago. Back then I woke up to the bad news the next morning, and it was awful but at least it was something to relate to. This uncertainty is unbearable. And now the New York Times is raising doubt about Biden’s victory in Arizona as well…
I would posit that the answer is that Trump is not unusual, but rather he is representative of a huge chunk of the American electorate.
