Warmest and best but oh so fleeting
Trump 5 hours ago, 7:30 in the morning in DC:
My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 15, 2019
Trump one hour later:
“New evidence that the Obama era team of the FBI, DOJ & CIA were working together to Spy on (and take out) President Trump, all the way back in 2015.” A transcript of Peter Strzok’s testimony is devastating. Hopefully the Mueller Report will be covering this. @OANN @foxandfriends

Trump an hour after that:
So, if there was knowingly & acknowledged to be “zero” crime when the Special Counsel was appointed, and if the appointment was made based on the Fake Dossier (paid for by Crooked Hillary) and now disgraced Andrew McCabe (he & all stated no crime), then the Special Counsel…….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 15, 2019
….should never have been appointed and there should be no Mueller Report. This was an illegal & conflicted investigation in search of a crime. Russian Collusion was nothing more than an excuse by the Democrats for losing an Election that they thought they were going to win…..

…..THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A PRESIDENT AGAIN!

His mind is never off himself for long.
And he rarely tells the truth.
I bet he’ll regret wording that first tweet so sympathetically (by his standards) when somebody sits him down and reminds him what religion use mosques.
I bet someone sat him down and told him to write the first one in the first place. Maybe someone else wrote it for him, though the mindless enthusiasm of “God bless all!” with the exclamation point, looks like something that could come from his tiny, little fingers. Didn’t use the word “terrorist” though. No doubt reserved for attackers who are brown.
The phrase “ best wishes” also sounds like Trump’s own. That’s normally used for birthdays and on wedding cards. I can’t say it’s wildly inappropriate… but it does sound a bit off. “Best wishes on your massacre.” I don’t know.
Sastra,
Looks like he’s trying to find a way to say “thoughts and prayers” without saying “thoughts and prayers”.
The exclamation point at the end is my least favorite part.
Actually this tweet clears up what’s so wrong with “best wishes.”

He’s got it confused with another kind of message altogether – like, “warmest congratulations and best wishes on your graduation/wedding/promotion/Nobel Prize.” It’s a whole different set of adjectives for the mass murder tweets.
I’d rather a luke warm best wishes than thoughts and fucking prayers frankly. Our own PM, who isn’t even religious said that last night. I silently screamed at the radio.
Can’t Ivanka school him on subject-verb agreement? Is she really good for nothing?
I think Sastra @ 4 is right. I think someone else wrote this tweet, and then Trump went and stupidly inserted “and best wishes.” Then (of course) he didn’t bother to read the thing over again, so you get the awful “My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to…”
