In other words: the Mueller team’s wording leaves open the possibility that some of the story might be accurate. But the fact that they called substantial elements of the story inaccurate should be taken seriously.

She makes a joke that came into my head as I was waking up this morning. In my case it took the form of “What the hell does the spokesperson for the special counsel’s office do all the rest of the time?” It’s a bit hilarious that they have a spokesperson at all since they never do any spokesing. Maybe the spokesperson is also responsible for cleaning up the break room.
It’s sort of like being this White House’s ethics officer. Or the EPA. Or…
